Maths Task |
Yesterday you looked at right angles and today you will be introduced to an obtuse angle and an acute angle. Right angles are 90 degrees (like the corner of a book) Acute angles are smaller than 90 degrees so smaller than a right angle. Obtuse angles are bigger than 90 degrees but less than 180 degrees so bigger than a right angle but smaller then a straight line. Watch the video to help you learn about the different types of angles: Link to video Have a look at the lesson notes to find out the skills you need to use to complete the pages in the workbook. You are going to be comparing angles. Complete pages 149 to 154 in your Maths No Problem workbook. Then try the challenge questions. Once you have finished you can use the answers to check if you are correct. |
Topic |
Pirates would have found all sorts of ‘under the sea’ creatures on their voyages. Can you use your knowledge of coordinates to find these sea creatures in the grid. Remember….’in the house and up the stairs’ so the first number in the brackets tells you how far across the bottom you go and then the second number after the comma tells you how far up you need to go. Optional Challenge: You could have a go at making your own ‘under the sea’ coordinate grid for someone in your family to complete. Use your home learning book to record your work. |
