Spellings:
1. Watch the video video write down the words from the video and use them in a sentence.
2.. Look at the spelling words in the file manager. Look at the different ways the long 'e' is spelt. Practise writing the words.
3. Sort the words by their spelling of the long vowel 'e' by playing this activity activity
4. Complete the spelling act act. Practise spelling the words from your spelling list.
5. Ask an adult to test you, out of sequence on the words from your spelling list.

English
1. Read the model text. Work through the powerpoint to introduce commas in a list. Look at the sentences and identify where the comma needs to go to replace ‘and’ reinforcing we need ‘and’ before the last item in the list. Complete sheet.
2. Read the model text. Using the image of the street at the front of the book, have the following sentence starters:
On the street you will find… Under the tree you will see… Between the houses are... Behind the people are...
Complete these sentences using nouns from the image and commas to list those nouns (eg - On the street you will find children, houses and trees).
3. Read the model text. Look at each paragraph and underline the information that answers the questions. Answer in full sentences.
4. Read through the model text and colour words ending with the suffixes -ing, -ed, -er, -est and -y.
Look at the root words before the suffixes have been added. Can you think what the rule might be?
Work through the powerpoint. Add the suffixes to the root word. Can every suffix be added to every word?
