Home Learning Resources

We would like you to keep us up to date with any learning by putting photos of the work children have been doing on Tapestry, and we will try to comment on these on a daily basis. More information about using Tapestry can  be found in the file at the bottom of the page.

Ideally we would suggest mixing the amount of screen based activity with some physical activity as far as possible.

Use the suggested timetable documents below and shared in your packs to create a clear structure for the day. Sticking to the same routine now, will help children get back into the swing of school when we return, so it's really important to be consistent if at all possible.

The suggested home learning timetable involves a more focussed morning routine, with a menu of tasks and activities for the aftenoon. Ideally you should try to get outside in the afternoon, for a walk, cycle or to play in the garden.

Phonics

We work on phonics on a daily basis, for about 15 minutes.

Phonics Play is a lovely resource to get started.

Yoga

We would suggest a daily yoga session. For learners in the Owlery this is a chance to build core strength as well as teaching about emotional regulation. Cosmic Kids yoga has a wide range of resources avaliable. You do not need to do a different session each day - perhaps focus on one per week so that you learn the routine.
