Siemens 2018 STEM Challenge

On Tuesday 18th December pupils in key stage 2 were visited by some of the staff at Siemens to take part in the Siemens 2018 STEM Challenge. This involved children working together to use their science, technology, engineering and mathematic skills to plan and build a marble roller coaster using only card and sticky tape. Marks were awarded for design and teamwork and it was fantastic to see such levels of excitement and enthusiasm together with the cooperation needed to complete some fantastic designs. Have a look at the pictures below to see some of the children’s work. Our thanks to Laura, Becki, Hannah and Antonia from Siemens for giving up their time; the children really enjoyed the challenge.
