The following activities are for you to complete at home or in school if you are able to attend. Tasks will be completed either online or in your home learning book, which your parents can check. Please ensure any work completed in your home learning book has a date and title.

Remember new work will be uploaded each evening for the following day.

Reading

  • Login to your bug club account. Read one of the books you have been allocated and answer the bug questions.

Times Table Rock Stars

  • Spend 15 minutes practising your times tables

SPAG Task

  • Your spelling list for this week is in the ‘Files to Download’ section. Write each word out in your home learning book 5 times. You don't need to use the sheet. 
  • On Purple Mash you have been allocated a spelling quiz. Check your ‘2 Do’ list and have a go at the quiz.

Maths Task

This week will be our last few lessons on time then we will move on to a new topic.   

  • Have a look at the lesson notes to find out the skills you need to use to complete the pages in the workbook. You are looking at measuring time in minutes.
  • Complete pages 49, 50 and 51 in your Maths No Problem workbook.

(Please only complete the pages we are giving you as we will be using the books for other lessons when we return to school).

  • Once you have finished you can use the answers to check your work. 

Writing Task

  • Look at the information about pirates in the ‘files to download’
  • Create your own pirate and then write a description. Your description can be written in your home learning book. 
  • Use the key words to help you.
  • Remember your sentences need to be Year 3 sentences so try to include: conjunctions, prepositions, adverbs, adjectives, exciting openers and punctuation.
  • If you can, use joined up handwriting.

If possible, please can you ask an adult to take a photo of your work and email it to your teacher as we would like to see how you are getting on with your writing.
