Week 5 - Yom Kippur

This week we are going to learn about the events behind Yom Kippur and to learn how Jewish people celebrate Yom Kippur.  

Yom Kippur is one of the most important days of the Jewish year.  The word ‘Yom’ is Hebrew for day and ‘Kippur’ comes from the root word which means ‘to atone’. Yom Kippur is the Jewish day of atonement.
