SCHOOL CLOSURE - Weekly Timetable for WB 29th June

Below is a weekly timetable of activites for your child to complete. Everyday the children can complete:

  • Maths
  • Literacy
  • TT Rockstars
  • Read a book on Bug Club

There are also activities for science, geography/history, SPAG (Spelling, Grammar and Punctuation) If you have any questions or queries about the work, please email us!

Maths - Geometry 



Today we are starting our final maths topic Geometry. This also builds on the work that you have been doing throughout the school on shape and angles. It is really important that you are able recognise and use the correct names and terminology both now and in the future, so make sure that you commit all the names you hear to memory.  Make sure that you do every part of the lesson because they will all help to build and test that memory. Follow the link below for 5 lessons from Oak Academy, one for each day. I have attached a few reasoning problems for you to have a think about when you have completed the lessons.


Day 1: To identify describe and classify shapes based on the properties. (1)



Day 2: To identify, describe and classify shapes based on the the properties (2)



Day 3: To identify regular and irregular polygons by reasoning about equal sides.



Day 4: To identify, describe and classify triangles



Day 5: To describe the properties of quadrilaterals.

Science: What is static electricity? - 

 In this lesson, we will be learning all about static electricity. We will learn how static charges occur and what happens when they are discharged. We will also be exploring how to create our own static charges with a balloon! If you have a balloon at home then you can use it for this lesson. PSHE:  Your country needs you- 
In today's lesson, the Prime Minister has contracted COVID-19 through shaking hands during his official work. We must step up as his Deputy Prime Minister to lead the country by way of a formal public letter of guidance.
