Mrs Gill was successful in being appointed Headteacher at Ivy Bank Primary School in March 2018. She is passionate about Ivy Bank and hopes to build on the success of the OFSTED visit in February 2018.

When not at school she can be found spending time with her family and two Golden Doodles.

Simon Yates - Parent Governor - Chair of Governors

Simon was elected as a parent governor November 2015. In July 2017 he took on the role of Chair of Governors. He is a member of the Standards and Curriculum Committee and is the Pupil Premium link governor.

As well as being a parent governor, Simon is also an active member of the Parents Forum and is keen to see good engagement between the school and parents.

Simon has worked as a Research Chemist at AstraZeneca for 14 years. In his spare time he is a keen photographer and enjoys cycling. 

Clare Picksley - Staff Governor

Clare has worked as a class teacher at Ivy Bank for more than fifteen years and has been a Staff Governor since 2012.  During her time here she has taught in all year groups from reception to year 6. She currently works as a year 4 teacher; three days a week. On her days off, she enjoys being a mum!

Pat is a retired Primary School Headteacher. She is passionate about Primary School education and in ensuring that every child is given the best opportunity to achieve. Pat has been a governor at Ivy Bank for four years and is keen to support the school in its pursuit of excellence for all children. Pat sits on the Standards and Curriculum sub-committee. She supports trainee teachers in primary schools in East Cheshire and Manchester.

In her spare time Pat enjoys watching football, going to the the theatre and gardening. She also enjoys walking with her Jack Russell.

Brian Puddicombe - Co-Opted Governor

Brian has been a governor at Ivy Bank Primary since 2014; he has over 10 years experience as a governor of primary schools in the south of Macclesfield. He lives in the area and works for a high street bank in Macclesfield town centre. Brian sits on the Standards and Curriculum sub-committee and is our Key Stage 1 link governor 

In his spare time Brian swims regularly and is a keen theatre-goer.

Matthew was elected as a parent governor in November 2015. He has lived in Macclesfield for the last 13 years and works for AstraZeneca. Passionate about good education; Matthew wants to help Ivy Bank provide children with the best tools to help them be successful in later life. He also wants Ivy Bank to be recognised as a great school to teach in, by supporting teachers effectively.

Jane has worked as a Teaching Assistant at Ivy Bank for more than six years.  She currently supports our year 2 pupils.

Jane loves spending time with her family and springer spaniel (Briar). She has recently completed an honours degree in Education and is now looking forward to getting back to her love of horse riding.

Jane was elected on to the governing board by Ivy Bank staff in May 2018 and currently sits on the Standards and Curriculm Committee.
